Reflection question

Gospel meditation

Consider using the following meditation for the feast of the Ascension (May 28):

  • “When they saw him, they worshiped, but they doubted.” Jesus knows our struggles yet he commissions his disciples, he commissions us, to “go … and make disciples of all nations.” Jesus commissions us to teach all people to live as Jesus taught. Even though we may occasionally doubt, Jesus promises to be with us until the end of time. How do our actions and words teach others what it means to be a disciple of Jesus? Do our lives give evidence that we are disciples of Christ? What does a disciple of Christ look like?
