Job Description: 

The Campaign Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day detail of St. Mary’s Capital Campaign implementation. While reporting to the Executive Director of Development (EDOD), the Campaign Coordinator also works collaboratively with the Pastor, Campaign Staff, Campaign Chairs, Committee members and prospects. Areas of primary responsibility are Campaign-related logistics, documentation and communications.

Duties: 

• Assist in the implementation of the St. Mary’s Capital Campaign calendar and work plan;
• Track monthly progress of the campaign and its component programs, including fundraising results to date, recent activity of staff and volunteers, donor/prospect contacts made and next actions; prepare and distribute reports for same;
• Schedule, plan, and attend campaign related meetings as necessary;
• Schedule meetings with donors and prospects for EDOD and Pastor; make travel, meeting and event arrangements as needed;
• Maintain records concerning donors/prospects, including cultivation strategies, solicitations, results and follow-up actions of contacts with campaign prospects;
• Coordinate the development and production of campaign marketing materials, including print and electronic media;
• Track campaign gifts received, acknowledgement letters/phone calls, donor recognition activities, pledge payment schedules, reminder letters;
• As appropriate, plan and/or assist with campaign events.

• Exceptional interpersonal, organizational skills and professionalism;
• Excellent personal presentation, oral and written communication skills;
• Ability to think strategically and to organize and prioritize tasks which support the organizational mission, vision and objectives;
• Ability to foster a positive work environment, and demonstrate enthusiasm and advocate for initiatives, programs, and activities
• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with other staff members, students, volunteers, and external contacts;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree;
• A minimum of two years development experience (or equivalent);
• Capital campaign experience a plus;
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines;
• Flexibility, creativity and the ability to work some evenings and weekends;
• Familiarity with and appreciation for the practices and teachings of the Catholic Church.
