Nearing the Holiest Week of the Year (E-Pistle)

As we now enter more deeply into Lent, and nearing the holiest week of the year, let us pray for those preparing for full initiation into the Catholic Church through Baptism, Confirmation and Holy Eucharist. Our brothers and sisters -- the Elect -- are responding to God’s call to conversion and discipleship.  Together we celebrate their embrace of the Catholic faith. We celebrate that God has chosen each one of them and their acceptance of that call will soon graft them onto the Vine, making them part of the mystical Body of Christ.
