To support the vital ministry of catechesis through the education and formation of parish catechists and ministry leaders.
To implement the directives of the Diocesan Pastoral Plan through a consistent, professional and pastoral response to the needs of deaneries, parishes, and language/ethnic groups.
This course examines key documents presenting the major themes about how the Church is understood, both theologically and in human experience. (16 hours) These classes will be virtual.
DRE Orientation is offered by the Office of Evangelization & Catechesis. It is an opportunity for new or nearly new Parish Catechetical Leaders / Directors of Religious Education to equip themselves with the knowledge to fulfill their role at the parish. Discussions include curriculum, certification, policies, record keeping, sacramental preparation, EIM and much more.
