Learn, grow, fellowship and meet colleagues from around the diocese!
All parishes are invited to send their administrative staff members to this day of formation and communication. We are excited to welcome Father James Misko, Vicar General of the Diocese of Austin; Brother Robert Clark, Marist Brother serving as a campus minister and spiritual director currently at the University Catholic Center; and Cheryl Maxwell, retreat leader and former director of Worship for the Diocese of Austin.
Registration has closed. For more information, e-mail the diocesan Communications Office. Check-in will begin at 8 a.m. followed by Mass with Bishop Vásquez at 9 a.m. The new 2022-2023 diocesan directory will also be distributed to parishes at this meeting.
Brother Robert Clark, FMS
Br. Rob, a Marist Brother, will be our opening general session presenter at this year’s Administrative Retreat Day. His talk, Welcome, will further welcome all retreatants in for the day and give him (and you) a chance to share personal experiences of what it means to welcome people into our parishes, homes and lives.
Br. Rob is currently in his seventh year as Campus Minister at the University Catholic Center (UCC) in Austin. At the UCC, he serves as a Spiritual Director and coordinates many retreats and programs. In his nearly 50 years with the Marist Brothers, he has served as Vocation Director, Master of Novices, Vice Provincial and Provincial, and he has served as Campus Minister at two other universities.
Cheryl Maxwell
Cheryl "Max" Maxwell, a well-known retreat director and presenter in the Diocese of Austin, will present Transformative Connection. It’s been said that the Eucharist we receive is not fully realized, even if all the liturgical protocols have been satisfied, unless it is related to those in need. As parish administrative staff, we will look at how the Eucharist can transform our everyday living to enlighten our ministries, our families, our parishes and beyond.
Max served as the diocesan director of Worship for several years, and prior to that she worked as the director of Worship at St. Thomas More Parish in Austin. She is known for her down-to-earth spirituality and love for the Catholic Church.
