Marriage preparation retreat

St. John Neumann Parish in Austin will offer a program for Catholic Preparation of Marriage open to all engaged couples in our diocese the weekend of April 1-3. The celebration of marriage as a sacrament is not a one-time event, but a lifelong vocation. Marriage and family have been the cornerstones of society in cultures throughout the world and across time. It is, therefore, no small task to help people enter into this lifelong commitment. Together in God’s Love uniquely combines cultural perspectives, modern psychology, and Catholic theology as couples prepare to become one in Christ through matrimony. Using very practical, multi-sensory, and active learning techniques, the program focuses on the areas of Faith, Communication, Sexuality, and Stewardship to express marriage as a communion of persons, just as the Holy Trinity is a communion of persons.

1. 3-day Retreat
2. Intro to Natural Family Planning class
3. Prepare and Enrich Test (completed and reviewed before the weekend) The test link is emailed to you by the church preparing you for marriage.

• Cost: $150.00 per couple-Books included-Meals are not provided. You will have time to leave campus on Saturday or bring your own lunch box.
• The retreat schedule: Friday 6:30 PM-9:00 PM, Saturday 9 AM-6:30 PM, Sunday 9 AM-12 PM
• The retreat is limited to 30 couples.
• The deadline to sign up is the Thursday before the retreat.
• Payments are non-refundable. However, you may reschedule for a different date if a conflict arises or you become ill.
• Please bring a snack to share with all.
