Ministry of Catechesis and the Law

This workshop will present an overview of civil law as it affects ministry in the church. It will discuss tort law; law of negligence; the rights and responsibilities of bishops, parishes, pastors, pastoral councils, and boards; the rights and responsibilities of DREs, Youth Ministers as well as other parish-sponsored ministries; supervision of parish programs and Catholic Schools; and the rights and responsibilities of students and parents.
