The Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) is now accepting applications for the biannual Citizens’ Academy. The Citizens’ Academy aims to foster meaningful partnerships with the citizens of Gatesville and surrounding counties, providing participants with a comprehensive understanding of the various functions of the TDCJ. The program will feature special presentations and tours by leadership from different agency departments.
One Parish One Prisoner, a Reentry program, will host an information session at St. Ignatius Martyr Parish. This program is converting and training congregations to be welcoming spaces for ALL of our brothers and sisters returning home from prison.
