Bishop's Message: A Year of Celebration

Tomorrow, faithful from throughout our diocese will gather to open a year of celebration for the 75th anniversary of the Diocese of Austin. We will honor and give thanks to the pioneers who planted our Catholic roots in Central Texas remembering the hardships and challenges they endured in the early years of this local church.

I am blessed each day by you and your families who continue the legacy of our forebearers by building up the Kingdom of God in this diocese.  I ask all the faithful to join me in prayer that tomorrow’s gathering is a day That We May All Be One through our Lord’s Mystical Body which unites us to God who has generously provided for the needs of the Diocese of Austin. 

We ask the intercession of Mary, under her title of the Immaculate Conception, to keep us faithful to God and the mission he has bestowed upon us.
