My Dear Brothers and Sisters:

This month we close the 75th anniversary of the Diocese of Austin. After a year of celebration, we mark this occasion with a Mass of Thanksgiving on November 18, 2023, at 10:15 a.m. at St. William Parish in Round Rock.  Join me as I welcome Cardinal DiNardo and my brother bishops along with our priests, deacons, seminarians, religious and you the faithful of our beloved diocese. 

This anniversary year was an opportunity for us to remember the past and celebrate the many blessings the Lord has showered upon our diocese and how he has used this local church as an instrument to serve others.

Following Christ, we have cared for, catechized, educated, healed, sanctified and served countless souls. We have served our brothers and sisters, Catholic and non-Catholic, through our ministries and apostolates by feeding, clothing and bringing them the Word of God. 

And so, dear brothers and sisters, as we embrace the future we must always be attentive to the promptings of the Holy Spirit as he leads us. We are comforted knowing that we can turn to our Blessed Mother, under her title of the Immaculate Conception, asking for her to accompany us on our journey.
