Father's Day Blessing

My Brothers and Sisters,
 
Today, we celebrate the gift of fatherhood. We look to St. Joseph whose loving commitment to his family is a role model to all fathers.
 
We are grateful to God for these men who are committed to their families by providing care and guidance.  We are also grateful for spiritual fathers who have nurtured us in the faith and reflect to us the loving face of God, our Father. 
 
Having lost my father this year, I especially remember him and all deceased fathers in my prayers. Let us pray for all fathers to persevere in their vocation of fatherhood.
