Deacon Tim Hayden

Deacon Tim was ordained as a permanent deacon of the Diocese of Austin in 2010 after earning a degee in Pastoral Theology from The University of St. Thomas School of Theology at St. Mary’s Seminary. In 2011, Deacon Tim formed a ministry team that visits with and ministers to women incarcerated at the Mountain View Unit in Gatesville, Texas. In this role, he serves the general population as well as those in protective custody and on death row. 

 
Deacon Tim has been actively involved with not only prison ministry, but also with adult formation, catechesis, youth ministry, the Knights of Columbus and grief ministry. He is a U.S. Army Veteran and worked as a government contractor for 30 years at Fort Hood, Texas.
