The Diocese of Austin and the Leadership Roundtable have partnered to launch the third cohort of the Latino Pastoral Leaders Initiative. Lisa Metcalfe, Director of Services and Programs for Leadership Roundtable explains that the initiative aims “to support Hispanic/Latino Catholic pastoral leaders as they transition to key leadership roles in their ministerial careers.” Fr. Juan Molina, President of the Mexican American Catholic College adds that for too long the Church has not benefited from the leadership talents of Hispanics/Latinos, and that in order to continue to grow and evangelize, its vital that our Church continue the work begun with the V Encuentro to form leaders from the Hispanic/Latino community and welcome them to leadership tables.
