In 1921, the Ladies of Charity established the Home of the Holy Infancy as an orphange located in a house purchased by the Diocese of Austin. By 1932, the Daughters of Charity took over administration of the home, and moved it into a new, larger building.
In 1977, the Home of the Holy Infancy became Marywood and the focus narrowed to foster care and adoption.
